Madhesh provincial chief Laba took office

Kathmandu. The newly appointed state chief of Madhesh province, Surendra Lab Karna, has taken office. On Thursday, he reached the office of the provincial chief in Janakpur and assumed office. Before that, when he reached the office, the Nepali Army saluted him and the office staff welcomed him.

After assuming office, Karna, the provincial head of Madhesh Province, expressed his belief that the matter of Saroj Kumar Yadav-led government formation in Madhesh Province has reached the court and the court will decide according to the constitutional provisions. The cabinet meeting held last Monday recommended to the president to appoint Karna from Dhanusha as the provincial head of Madhes province. On the recommendation of the government, President Ramchandra Paudel appointed Karna as the provincial head of Madhesh province on Tuesday and administered the oath.
