The Oli-led government is guilty of the Genji movement incident: UML Vice President Pandey

Kathmandu. CPN-UML Vice President Surendra Pandey said that the then government should take responsibility for the incident that took place on the 23rd during the Genji movement. Talking to reporters in Chitwan, he claimed that it was wrong to say that he did not know who shot the then Prime Minister and UML President KP Sharma Oli.

UML vice-president Pandey admitted that the incident that took place when the party was in government left a big stain and expressed the opinion that full cooperation should be given in the investigation. If Umales take responsibility, they will not have to live in fear like Maoist activists, he said. According to him, the Genji movement is the result of internal weakness of UML. He says that the inability of the party and government mechanisms to get advance notice of such a large movement is a serious weakness in itself.

Also, Pandey said that it will be difficult to complete the election on February 21. The psychology of the election has not been formed, the preparation of the government is not enough, but the absence of the election will push the country into more uncertainty.
