Prime Minister Karki's instructions to the army: Not a single person should be injured during the election

Kathmandu. Prime Minister Sushila Karki has instructed the Nepali Army to work ensuring that not a single drop of blood is shed and not a single person is injured in the upcoming elections. She listened to a briefing on election security preparations after an inspection visit to the headquarters of the Nepali Army, Jangi Adda. After that, Prime Minister Karki said, "I have said before that not a single drop of blood should be shed and not a single person should be injured in the upcoming elections." Analyzing the experience of the previous elections and the dimensions of the upcoming elections, I direct to work in a coordinated and flawless manner with all the security agencies on the basis of security sensitivities.

She instructed to move forward with a clear action plan to ensure security to the people, create an environment where police operations will be easy and safe, and prepare a situation where all political activities can be conducted without hindrance. In addition, she asked the army to provide all possible assistance as requested by the police to find, seize and arrest the stolen or lost arms and weapons during the Genji movement. On this occasion, the Nepali Army informed about the current security situation, challenges and upcoming plans. Besides, a presentation was also made about the role of the army in election security and the operational plan.
