Sunsari CPN-UML Sunsari Region No. 1 has clashed among the leaders regarding the selection of congress representatives. Anil Rajdhami, private secretary of former Chief Minister Bhim Acharya and UML Sunsari district committee member, was beaten up by another group of UML.
Yuva Sangh Kosi in-charge Divas Rai and Anil Rajdhami nominated for the youth representative in the convention. With the registration of candidature, it is seen that the intense competition within the organization has come down to the streets.

It has been alleged that a group including Vivek Rai, the ward president of Divas Rai, Dharan-10, beat Rajdhami and seriously injured him near the UML Dharan office on Thursday evening. After the beating, other UML workers rescued him and admitted him to Bijaipur Hospital. Rajdhami has been discharged after treatment. The injured Rajdhami strongly objected saying that he was attacked in a planned manner and that Diwas and Vivek's group beat him up and left him with serious injuries on his face.

The 11th Congress of UML is being held from 27th to 29th December in Bhaktapur and Kathmandu. The selection of representatives for the convention is sometimes done by consensus and sometimes by competition.
