This is how the work of the new road is going on in Krishnabhir, preparing to open it in August

Kathmandu. The Prithvi Highway has been blocked for 14 days after the flood that came to Trishuli via Bhotekoshi eroded the lower part of the road along the river bank. On August 14, 100 meters of the road was washed away after Trishuli cut the base of the road at Krishnabhir in Dhading, which is considered to be the main lifeline connecting Kathmandu.

The work of opening a new track above the Krishnabhir river and preparing it for the smooth movement of vehicles is going on in full swing. The work of cutting the hill and connecting the 250 meter track on both sides has been completed.

Sajna Adhikari, head of planning for the Nagadhunga-Mugling road project, said that the gravel and rolling work will start from Sunday and will be completed within 3-4 days by the end of August. "Graveling is not as easy as cutting. It should be mixed by rolling. It should be done in layers. It cannot be done in one layer," she said, "that's why it may take 3-4 days. The goal is to operate the transport from the end of this month.
