The commission formed to investigate the incidents of August 23 and 24 has summoned Inspector General of Police Dan Bahadur Karki on Friday. The statements of the then Inspector General of Police Chandrakuver Khapung and former Home Secretary Gokarmani Duwadi, who came to give statements since Thursday, have not yet been completed. They are also ready to be called today.

The 3-member commission formed under the chairmanship of former judge Gauri Bahadur Karki on October 9 has been given a three-month deadline. If the commission delays in making the report or if the statement is not completed, the commission has also prepared to extend the deadline. The then Home Minister Ramesh Akhtar has already said that he will go to give a statement to the Commission, while the then Prime Minister KP Oli has said that he will not go.
