Non-working contracts are not acceptable: Minister Ghising
Kathmandu. Energy, Water Resources, Urban and Physical Affairs Minister Kulman Ghising has said that the trend of not working for a long time with contracts is not acceptable. He said this while announcing the work progress of 100 days on Wednesday. Minister Ghising said that initiatives and coordination have been taken to speed up the projects under construction.
In a press conference, he said, "Based on the view that development should be seen not by speeches, but by results, necessary initiatives and coordination have been taken to speed up the projects under construction." There is a plan, there is a budget, there is a contract - but it doesn't work. A situation where a bridge cannot be constructed even for 14 years cannot be accepted.
According to him, if the bridge of strategic importance is not built, the citizens are forced to travel dangerously. He said, 'Without the construction of a bridge of strategic importance, citizens are forced to travel a dangerous distance of one and a half hours, which can be reached in five minutes. I have come to the conclusion that the root cause of this situation is the tendency to shirk responsibility, unnecessary pressure and interference and lack of necessary rigor in law enforcement.
According to Minister Ghisingh, the process of breaking sick contracts has been initiated to end the trend of not working on projects for years.
