Monsoon will spread across the country within four days, heavy rain likely in Koshi

Kathmandu. The weather forecast division of the Department of Water and Meteorology has said that monsoon winds are currently affecting the entire region of Koshi, Madheshas and Bagmati provinces, some parts of Gandaki province and the eastern region of Lumbini province. In other areas, there is a partial effect of western and local winds.
According to the department, the monsoon is likely to extend over the remaining areas of Gandaki and Lumbini provinces and Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces within the next three to four days. At present, the Terai region of Far Western Province is mainly clear, while the rest of the country is partially cloudy. Light rain is falling in one or two places in Koshi, Bagmati and Sudurpaschim provinces.
