5 days more time for voter roll registration

Kathmandu. The Election Commission has extended five days for registration of voter list. Aiming at the upcoming House of Representatives elections, the Commission is conducting voter registration work. Earlier, the commission had decided that the registration would be open only till 30th of November. Now it has been arranged that the voter list can be registered till 5th of November. Prime Minister Sushila Karki asked the commission to extend the time for registering names in the voter list. In view of the excitement and pressure seen in the compilation of the voter list, the government requested to extend the time period.

According to the commission, the number of people registering their names online from Thursday is also significant since it is possible to register their names in the voter's list based on the details of the National Identity Card.
