Congress Special Convention: Registration of delegate names continued on second day, session closed today

Kathmandu. Under the leadership of the General Minister of Nepali Congress, the process of registering the names of representatives in the special convention which started on Sunday is still continuing today. Registration has been opened again since morning for the representatives who missed to register on Sunday. According to the organizers, 2,662 delegates registered on the first day alone.
Provincially, 425 representatives have been registered from Koshi, 446 from Madhes, 432 from Bagmati, 296 from Gandaki, 398 from Lumbini, 134 from Karnali and 148 from Far West. Similarly, 178 people from Kathmandu valley (Kathmandu, Bhaktapur and Lalitpur) and 195 people from fraternal, well-wishers and public relations committees have registered their names.
Eight stalls were arranged by the special convention supporters group to organize the registration of names. Yuvraj Pandey, Coordinator of District Area and Focal Person Coordinating Committee informed that the registration has started from 8:30 am today and the process will continue till 11 am. He clarified that the name registration has been continued today for the convenience of the representatives who missed the registration yesterday.
The Special Convention Stakeholder Group is scheduled to hold a closed session today. Although there is a schedule to close the session from 8 am, the program has been delayed for some time due to some technical reasons, the organizer said.
