Demolition of concrete houses in the Dhobi Khola corridor began
Kathmandu. Kathmandu Metropolitan City-10 Demolition of concrete buildings built by encroachment in Devinagar in Dhobi Khola area has been started.
Bishnu Joshi, head of the Metropolitan Police Force, informed that the removal of the barracks here has been started from today. He said, "As part of the campaign to remove encroached settlements on the banks of Bagmati and tributaries of the valley, the work of removing houses in Devinagar area of Dhobi river is continuing today."
On Friday, the government removed the risky settlements on the banks of the river in Balkhu and Kalimati areas. So far, more than 2,000 houses built by trespassing on government, public and private land in Kathmandu Valley have been removed, according to Metropolitan Police.
