Rainfall in various parts of the country, heavy rain forecast in some hilly areas

Kathmandu. At present, the influence of Monsoon air is present across the country. According to the Water and Weather Forecast Division, the Monsoon low pressure line is around Sardar place. According to the department, light to moderate rains with thunder and lightning are occurring at some places in Koshi, Bagmati, Lumbini, Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces and a couple of places in Gandaki province.

On Sunday afternoon, it will be generally cloudy across the country, while there is a chance of moderate rain and snowfall with thunder and lightning in some places of the Himalayan region. Moderate rain with thunder and lightning may occur at many places in the hilly areas.  There is a chance of moderate to heavy rain with thunder and lightning in some places of Terai region of Koshi, Bagmati and Gandaki regions and in some places of Terai region of Madhesh, Lumbini and Sudurpaschim regions. 

According to the division, there is a possibility of heavy rain in one or two places in Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, Karnali and the hilly areas of Sudurpaschim Province.  

Sunday night will also be generally cloudy across the country. There is a possibility of moderate rain and snowfall with thunder and lightning at some places in the Himalayas.
