Untimely death of journalist Dinesh Sitaula, journey of active journalism stopped in 43 years

Kathmandu. Journalist Dinesh Sitaula, who has been active in the field of film journalism for a long time, has passed away untimely. Sitaula, who was suffering from aneurysm rupture (a type of brain haemorrhage), was declared dead by the doctor today at 12:45 pm. Sitaula, who was in critical condition after suddenly falling unconscious while in Achham, was brought to Kathmandu on Friday. Even though he was being treated on a ventilator at Grandi Hospital, his health did not improve.

43-year-old Sitaula was single. His family consists of his father, one sister and two brothers. His family has informed that preparations are being made to cremate him at Pashupati Aryaghat today. Sitaula, who is also the former president of the Film Journalists Association, contributed significantly to the promotion of hundreds of Nepali films. Recently, he joined the election campaign team of Balendra Shah, a senior leader of Rashtriya Swatantra Party RSVP and reached Achham.

With the death of Sitaula, the film journalism and communication sector has lost a hard-working, active and experienced journalist. His colleagues, artists and well-wishers are paying their respects through social media.
