The number of people who left Kathmandu for the election exceeded 8 lakh

Kathmandu. The number of travelers leaving Kathmandu Valley for the upcoming elections has increased significantly. According to the Kathmandu Valley Police Office, around 8 lakh people have left the valley so far to vote and return home. For the security and management of the elections, the operation of vehicles on the roads of the valley will be prohibited from 12 o'clock tonight. According to the norms issued by the Election Commission, only essential service vehicles will be allowed to run, while other private and public vehicles will remain completely closed.

The traffic police have been heavily deployed on the roads to keep the traffic management in the valley smooth and to minimize possible accidents. According to the police, till now the election atmosphere in the valley is peaceful and security has been tightened. Police said that the management of peace and security of the election is being done in coordination with the district administration and security agencies and the traffic situation is completely normal.
