Kathmandu. The tenure of two DIGs has been increased in the Armed Police Force. The term of office of Pradeep Pal and Laxman Bahadur Singh has been increased. With the extension of their tenure, there is a possibility that the promotions of Suresh Shrestha, Anjani Kumar Pokharel, Dipendra Shah and Purushottam Thapa of Sins 1 will be restricted.

The extension came two weeks after the Armed Police Force Headquarters sent a proposal to the Ministry of Home Affairs to extend the tenure of DIGs Laxman Bahadur Singh and Pradeep Pal for the general group. With the extension of their tenure, they will be in charge for one year from today. According to the tradition of the past, the proposal to extend the tenure of the two DIGs was sent by the Armed Police Headquarters. According to the Armed Police Regulations, the tenure of the post of DIG is four years. According to this provision, DIG Dway Singh and Pal were going to go on compulsory retirement on 5th Chait 2082.

Shrestha, Pokharel, Shah and Thapa, who became DIGs from Sins No. 1, were loving that their terms should not be extended, but it was not successful.  There was a disagreement between Singh and Pal as there was a possibility that they would have to go home as DIGs after their terms were extended.

Both Laxman Bahadur Singh and Pradeep Pal initially started their careers from the technical services of the Nepal Police. They joined the service on 18th Chait 2054 in the post of Technical Sai 9 Computer Operator 0. Later, when the Armed Police Force was formed, they entered the same organization and were promoted to the rank of DIG.
