Two bodies were recovered from the tunnel of the Langtang River Hydropower Project, 25 people are still missing

Rasuwa The bodies of two people have been removed from inside the tunnel of the 20 MW Langtang Khola hydropower project located in Rasuwa. Vijaymani Bhattarai, general manager of the project, informed that the Nepali army team engaged in search and rescue in the tunnel took out those bodies on Thursday.

Earlier, the government rescue team tried to enter the tunnel from the main road, but could not advance more than 100 meters because of the stones, mud and mud. After that, the team with the technicians of the project was engaged in alternative rescue work.

On Wednesday, a team including a hydro (mechanical engineer) managed to enter the empty penstock pipe of the project and reach up to about 150 meters. Using the same penstock pipe, the army took out the bodies of two people on Thursday.
