World Children's Day is being celebrated today in different countries of the world emphasizing that social organizations, schools and communities should play an active role in listening to children's voices and promoting their rights. This day was started to commemorate the day on which the Convention on the Rights of the Child was approved on this day in 1989 at the request of the United Nations. Under the leadership of the United Nations Children's Fund UNICEF, this day is celebrated in all countries of the world.
On this occasion, UNICEF has called upon everyone to listen to the voices of children around the world and promote their rights vigorously. UNICEF has drawn the attention of the government, parents and society to ensure the protection of children's birthright, access to education, equality and other rights. On this occasion, UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres has asked everyone to address the voices of children.
