Three people including two children are still missing in the Tamakosi bus accident, the police issued a statement

Kathmandu. Three passengers are still missing in the bus accident that occurred in the Tamakosi River at Manthali Municipality-6, Benighat, Ramechhap. District Police Office Ramechhap has appealed to the general public and related agencies to cooperate in the search by publishing the identity card with their photos. 

According to family sources, Krishan Tamang, 9-year-old son of deceased Tara Tamang of Manthali-2, Ronish Tamang, 8-year-old of Likhu Tamakosi-7 and Vishal Sunuwar, 24, of Umakund-6, are missing. Although the security personnel and the local residents jointly continued the search in the river area, they have not been found yet.

At around 10:40 am on Tuesday morning, bus No. BPR 001-05 B 9975, which was going from Kathmandu to Okhaldhunga, fell off the road into the river near Benighat. After the accident, 20 people including the driver were rescued and sent to Manthali Hospital, where 12 people were declared dead. 

The other injured are being treated, while the condition of some is said to be critical. The police are investigating the cause of the accident. Teams of divers and armed police have also been activated to search for the missing passengers.
