The obstruction was opened after the Minister of Energy, Water Resources and Irrigation, Physical Infrastructure and Transport and Urban Development Kulman Ghising promised to fulfill the demands of the locals of Bancharedanda landfill site.
Minister Ghising promised to implement the agreements and agreements made in the past with the affected residents. He requested 15 days time to proceed with the process of implementation of the agreement and requested not to obstruct the dumping of garbage. A committee will be formed in collaboration with the Ministry of Urban Development to manage the lichad being raised by the locals. It has been promised to operate a pump immediately to recycle the leachate collected in the pond to prevent it from going into the river. Currently the pump is broken.
