The number of Ministries in Karnali Province was reduced
Surkhet. The number of ministries in Karnali province has been reduced. The Cabinet meeting of the Karnanli Province Government held on Monday reduced the number of ministries by merging the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Law into the Office of the Chief Minister and the Council of Ministers. With the reduction of ministries, Karnali Province will have seven ministries including the office of Deputy Chief Minister and Council of Ministers.
According to the information given by the spokesperson of the government, Vinod Kumar Shah, in the cabinet meeting held today, the division of work rules have been changed so that the tasks that were previously under the jurisdiction of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Law will be transferred to the office of the Chief Minister and the Council of Ministers.
Last May, the state government formed a 'High Level Organization and Management Survey Committee' under the coordination of retired Secretary Laxman Aryal. The former chief secretary of Karnali Dr. Gopikrishna Khanal and Dr. Suresh Tiwari was a member.
Government spokesperson Vinod Kumar Shah informed that the ministry has been merged in accordance with the policy of reducing the number of ministries to gradually implement the recommendations of the committee and to streamline the provincial structure.
