The ministry asked for suggestions to change the number and boundaries of the local level
Kathmandu. The Ministry of Federal Affairs and General Administration has asked for opinions and suggestions on the preliminary draft regarding the number and boundary changes of rural villages, municipalities and wards. The Ministry has sent a letter to all district coordination committees, local levels and concerned bodies on May 3 and asked them to give suggestions.
District Coordination Committee General Association, Nepal Municipality Association and Rural Municipality National Association have also been requested for facilitation. According to the Ministry, according to Sections 3, 5, 6, 7 and 8 of the Local Government Operation Act, 2074, the initial draft of 'Standards, 2083' has been prepared regarding the number and boundary changes of rural municipalities, municipalities and wards, merger arrangements and classification review of municipalities.
If there are any opinions and suggestions on the said draft, it is requested to send it within three days through the Ministry's email. In addition, a circular has been issued to the chief minister and cabinet offices of all provinces to give suggestions within the same period.
