Government's decision to give public holidays on Saturdays and Sundays, offices will open from nine o'clock
Kathmandu. The Cabinet meeting held on Sunday decided to make Saturday and Sunday public holidays. Government spokesperson Sasmit Pokharel informed that the meeting of the Council of Ministers held today has decided to give a holiday to government offices and all educational institutions on Saturday and Sunday with effect from Chait 23rd to facilitate the supply of petroleum.
He said, "Due to the inconvenience caused in petroleum supply, it has been decided to give Saturday and Sunday holidays to government offices and all educational institutions and to maintain the office hours of the mentioned offices except educational institutions from 9 am to 5 pm effective from 23rd Chait 2082."
