Nawalparasi All the bridges on the eastern section of the Narayanghat-Butwal road section, which the government has taken forward as a national pride, have been completed. Narayanghat-Butwal Road Plan Eastern Section has informed that 33 out of 34 bridges that have been completed have been used by vehicles. According to Engineer Shiv Khanal, information officer of the project, with the completion of the slope of the eighth span of the Arun Khola Bridge in the eastern section, all the bridges in the eastern section of the Narayanghat Butwal Road Plan have been completed.
In this section, the construction company China State Engineering Construction Corporation Limited got the contract to build 22 short bridges up to 25 meters long and 12 bridges longer than 25 meters. Khanal informed that the construction of 34 bridges including 22 small and 12 large bridges has been completed. Although the construction of small bridges has been completed and they have been put into operation, while the big bridges are under construction, not all the bridges have been put into operation.
"With Girubari Khola Bridge in Chormara Bazar put into operation last week, 33 bridges have been opened for traffic," said Engineer Khanal.
According to him, we have accelerated the finishing work of the bridge and the construction of the approach road access road to bring the traffic operation from the Arun Khola Bridge, which is yet to be opened, before the February 21 election. Khanal informed that the road expansion work in the eastern section is progressing at a fast pace.
Khanal said that some culverts are still being constructed in the lower part of the section due to the difficult geographical forest.
