Medical complaints are increasing in the consumer court, 12 of the 32 complaints are in the medical field
Kathmandu. Lately, complaints related to health sector or medical are increasing in consumer court. A total of 32 fraud-related complaints have been filed in the Consumer Court, which has been established on 2nd Chaitra for nine months. Out of which, 12 complaints of medical negligence have been registered, the spokesperson of the court, Homnath Kandel, informed. According to him, other auto related, technology and manufacturing issues have been registered.
He informed that out of 12 complaints registered on medical negligence, only three have been decided and one was settled on the basis of settlement agreement. He said, "So far, most of the registered cases are in the medical field. It is called medical negligence. 12 medical related cases have been registered. Out of which, two cases were filed in the Kathmandu District Court and were later transferred here. So far there have been three judgments in the medical field. A settlement has been reached. Auto related, vehicle, motorcycle related issues are also many. We have also registered cases related to technology i.e. computers, laptops, and software and manufacturing. Many of them are medical related.
He informed that the complaint filed by Prakash Rai Yadav against Narvik International Hospital has been settled.

According to him, complaints have been filed against Om Hospital, Grand City Hospital, Everest Hospital, Nepal Medical College, Kanti Children's Hospital and others due to negligence. "Complaints have been lodged against Nepal Korea Friendship Hospital, Nepal Medical College, Kanti Children's Hospital, Manmohan Memorial Hospital, Om Hospital, Grand City Hospital, Norvik Hospital, Everest Hospital," he said.
