In protest against the beating and misbehavior of doctors, the doctors' association has stopped all non-emergency services across the country today

Kathmandu. In protest against the suppression of doctors and health workers by the state, the Nepal Doctors Association today announced a shutdown of all services except for emergencies in hospitals across the country. With this decision of the union, non-emergency services including outpatient OPD in hospitals across the country will be completely affected today.

The Sangh has been demanding strict action against the culprits after the fatal attack and vandalism of the hospital in which Dr. Pramod Ram, a doctor working at Narayani Hospital in Birgunj, suffered a serious head injury on 9th July. The association has demanded that strict action be taken against the persons involved in the attack in accordance with the Act 2066 (First Amendment) relating to the safety of health workers and health institutions.
