Khagendra Sunar's demand to remove the IGP from responsibility and investigate the irregularities in the police
Kathmandu. Khagendra Sunar, a member of parliament of the ruling party, has demanded the immediate formation of an inquiry committee regarding irregularities in the purchase of shoes, socks, clothes, etc. in the Nepal Police. Speaking at the meeting of the Audit Committee, the Inspector General of Police said that the IGP should not be investigated while the question has already been raised.
He said, "An investigation committee should be formed immediately, the accused people should be kept out of responsibility and the investigation should be carried out in a fair manner." Irregularities in the purchase of shoes, socks, clothes and other materials for the police will have a direct impact on the poor and lower class policemen and regular policemen.
