Kathmandu. Former Home Minister Ramesh Ukhar has accused the government of detaining him in a vindictive and biased manner. He termed the report of the commission formed to investigate the incident of August 23 and 24 as 'incomplete and unsubstantiated' and claimed that the criminal charge against him was baseless.

According to him, on the basis of the same report, criminal charges were filed against him and he was detained. However, he stated that he was finally released after the court's order. He wrote on social media and said, "I was detained for 13 days after being charged with criminal charges based on the biased, vindictive, incomplete and unsubstantiated report of the commission formed regarding the incidents of Bhadra 23 and 24 last year."

At the same time, he expressed high respect for the Supreme Court, which issued the mandate, and mentioned that he is a person who follows the law and believes in justice.
