ICC Women's T20 World Cup Global Qualifiers: Schedule Announced
Kathmandu. The Nepal Cricket Association (CAN) has released the schedule of the ICC Women's T20 World Cup Global Qualifiers to be held in Nepal. 10 different countries are participating in the competition. According to the match schedule published by CAN today, Nepal has been placed in Group 'B'. For the first time, the Nepali women's cricket team has passed the World Cup Asian qualifiers and reached the global qualifiers. Nepal's group includes Scotland, Thailand, Netherlands and Zimbabwe.
Bangladesh, Namibia, Bangladesh, USA and Papua New Guinea are in Group A of the tournament which will be held from 14th February to 1st February. According to CAN, the tournament will be played at Moolpani Cricket Ground and Trivi International Cricket Ground.
Nepal will play its first match against Thailand on January 18 to inaugurate the tournament. The match will be held at Upper Mulpani Cricket Ground. The top three teams from both groups participating in this tournament will qualify for the Super Six. The top four teams from the Super Six will qualify for the Women's T20 World Cup in 2026.
