He resigned from the position of MP after not being able to become a minister
Kathmandu. MP Dorna Kumar Kunwar has resigned from the post of MP on Wednesday. Sources say that Kunwar, an elected MP from the Nepali Congress in Gandaki province, resigned because he was unable to become a minister. When the cabinet was reshuffled in the Gandaki government on Wednesday, Kunwar was also trying to become a minister. But sources close to the Congress say that he resigned after Chief Minister and party leader Surendraraj Pandey refused to make him a minister. Sources also said that he may withdraw his resignation in a fit of anger.
In the 2079 state assembly elections, Kunwar was elected MP from Baglung-2 B. In Gandaki province on Wednesday, according to the agreement of Nepali Congress and CPN-UML, all the ministers except the Chief Minister have been reshuffled.
