Handover of 60 stolen motorcycles and scooters

Kathmandu. Valley traffic police office has found 60 motorcycles and scooters that were stolen at different times and handed them over to the respective vehicle owners. In a program held today at the Kathmandu Valley Police Office, Head of Kathmandu Valley Police Office Ranipokhari and Additional Inspector General of Police Ishwar Karki and Head of Valley Traffic Police Office and Senior Superintendent of Police Navraj Adhikari jointly handed over 34 motorcycles and 26 scooters to the respective owners.

181 vehicles, including the 60 handed over today, have been handed over to the owners of the vehicles by the traffic police since last July. In addition, 25 people involved in the theft along with 13 stolen two-wheelers were arrested and sent to various police premises and police circle for necessary action, said Valley Traffic Police Chief and Senior Superintendent of Police Navraj Adhikari.

Nareshraj Subedi, Spokesperson of the Valley Traffic Police Office and Superintendent of Police informed that 417 two-wheelers were found in the current fiscal year and 503 in the fiscal year 2081,82. In case of vehicle loss, the Valley Traffic Police Office has requested to call traffic police hotline number 103, Nepal Police hotline number 100 and file a complaint at the nearest police office.
