Former UML MP Bhattachan arrested

Kathmandu. Chairman of Prabhu Group and former MP of CPN-UML Devi Prasad Bhattachan has been arrested. He was arrested by the Central Investigation Bureau of Nepal Police from Lalitpur on Tuesday on charges of financial embezzlement.

A complaint has already been filed against Bhattachan for financial embezzlement related to Prabhu Group. He was also involved in the cooperative fraud case. A complaint was filed against Bhattachan on the charge of cheating more than 98 crore rupees.
