Kathmandu. Nepali Congress Chairman Sher Bahadur Deuba has admitted that his party is about to split. Deuba admitted this in a meeting with 25 central members who came to draw the attention of the chairman to resolve the dispute within the congress. In that meeting, Chairman Deuba said that he did not want the party to split. The central members who came to meet Deuba are the central members who are lobbying in favor of having a convention before the election. They will also hold discussions with Chief Minister Gagan Thapa and Vishwaprakash Sharma today.

This group is in favor of a regular convention before the elections. They are not in favor of a special convention. After General Minister Gagan Thapa and Bishwaprakash Sharma announced the date of the special convention after postponing the regular convention yesterday, this group became active to resolve the party's disputes.

After the Ward Convention scheduled for 16 January was not held, the General Ministers postponed the regular convention and announced a special convention. They have said that the special convention will be held from December 27. The hall at Bhrikutimandap has also been booked for this. The Congress has called a meeting of the Central Working Committee at 3 pm on Friday after the recent developments led to a dispute within the party.
