Kathmandu. Ecuador has entered the knockout stage of the FIFA World Cup after defeating Germany. Ecuador entered the knockout stage after defeating Germany by 2-1 in the New York New Jersey Stadium in America.
Germany took the first lead in the game. Germany took the lead after Leroy Sane scored in the second minute of the match. Then, in the ninth minute of the game, Nielsen Angulo of Ecuador scored a goal to tie the game 1-1. In the 77th minute of the second half of the game, another player from Ecuador, Leogonzalo Plata, scored a goal and gave Ecuador the lead.
After that, no more goals were scored in the game and Ecuador won against Germany. Meanwhile, in the next match of this group held today, Ivory Coast secured a trip to the knockout stage by winning against Curaçao. Ivory Coast won 2-0 against Curaçao. Nicolas Pepe scored both goals for Ivory Coast in the game.
