Kathmandu. Ecuador has entered the knockout stage of the FIFA World Cup after defeating Germany. Ecuador entered the knockout stage after defeating Germany by 2-1 in the New York New Jersey Stadium in America.

In the 77th minute of the second half of the game, another player from Ecuador, Leogonzalo Plata, scored a goal and gave Ecuador the lead.
