Demand to implement the wages set by the government
Kathmandu. The Nepal Nursing Association has demanded that the wages set by the government should be implemented. The association issued a statement today and demanded the implementation of the current interim government on October 24, saying that the hospitals ignored the directive to implement the minimum wage facility. According to the association, most of the health institutions have not implemented the minimum salary and benefits set by the Nepal government on 27th of November 2081.
They have been complaining that they have to work for a salary of Rs 15,000 even though the fifth level salary in the health sector is up to Rs 34,000. The association has also said that nurses and other health workers working in teaching, government, private and community hospitals across the country are protesting demanding the implementation of the minimum wage facility.
