Kathmandu. Balen Shah, the leader of Rashtriya Swatantra Party RSVP, has reached Tehrathum during the election campaign. Shah, who is a candidate for the Member of the House of Representatives from Jhapa-5, met the local voters at Manlung Devithan in Tehrathum.
In an interaction with the locals, Shah said that he wanted to understand Tehrathum not only through paper or books, but through direct experience. "You can read about Tehrathum on Wikipedia, you can also understand it from books," he said, "but only after coming here, soaking in this climate, sitting in this soil, meeting these people and feeling it with your eyes, hands and heart will you know what the place is like." We have come here so that when we raise the problem of the Thirteenth tomorrow, we will also know about it.'
He mentioned that the chairman and candidate of RSWP are from engineering background and emphasized that priority should be given to practical work that can be done at the local level. "Let's talk about things that can be done rather than big things," said Shah, "Agricultural production is good here, but the main problem is the market."
RSVP Terathum candidate Surendra Karki also participated in the meeting organized at Tehrathum. Shah said that the meeting was held with the aim of directly understanding the local problems and including them in policies and plans.
