After Balen's instructions, the squatters of Thapathali started to vacate the settlement

Kathmandu. After Prime Minister Balendra Balen Shah instructed to vacate the encroached squatter settlement, the squatters in Thapathali have started to vacate the settlement. Prime Minister Shah directed all security agency chiefs to vacate encroached settlements on Saturday and Sunday. He, who is also holding the responsibility of the Ministry of Home Affairs, gave this instruction in a meeting with the head of the security agencies.

Along with this, the squatters have started moving their belongings from Thursday evening. Even on Friday morning, it is seen that the process of clearing the slums in Thapathali area is continuing. The government has intensified preparations to clear encroached public land.
