Kathmandu. Ravi Lamichhane, chairman of the National Independent Party, has broken the record set by the by-election in Chitwan 2 by two newly elected members of Parliament of the RSVP in this time's representative assembly election. Lamichhane set a new record by winning by the largest margin in the by-election. He won with a margin of 42 thousand 962 votes. Lamichhane broke the record of 40 thousand 101 votes set by Baburam Bhattarai in 2064.
This time Dr. Lekhjang Thapa and Sulabh Kharel of RSVP have broken the record of Lamichhane. Coincidentally, both of them set a new record by winning from the same district, Rupandehi. Sulabh Kharel defeated UML Vice President Vishnu Paudel in Rupandehi 2 by a margin of 43 thousand 689 votes. Dr. Lekhjung Thapa defeated Congress' Sushil Gurung by a margin of 50,379 votes. Along with this, the record of winning by the biggest margin is Dr. Lekhjang has gone to Thapa's name.
