'Election Police' will be deployed in the field from today

Kathmandu. The 'election police' recruited for the upcoming February 21 elections will be deployed in the field from today. After the recruitment and selection, 149,000 'election police' who have completed 10 days of training are now going to join the security team of Nepal Police and Armed Police.
Nepal Police had given appointment letter to 133 thousand 980 and armed 15 thousand 110 election police on January 18. According to the Integrated Security Plan-2082, the Nepali Army has been mobilized since the 21st of last year in order to conduct the election of members of the House of Representatives in a clean, free, fair and fearless environment.
Nepal Police and Election Police will protect the inner perimeter of the polling station. The Armed Police Force will take over the responsibility of the second level of security. The Nepali Army will take over the responsibility of security while staying outside the security perimeter.
