Construction contracts will be terminated with businessmen who cannot work on time: Minister Ghising

Chandrapur. Physical Infrastructure and Transport, Urban Development and Energy Minister Kulman Ghising has warned that if the infrastructure construction is not completed on time, the contract with the contractor of the construction company will be terminated. While monitoring the abandoned bridge in Chandinadi located in Chandrapur Municipality-3 of Rautahat today, he stressed that the contractor should complete the work within the stipulated time.

Minister Ghising called the contractor Dayaram Sah to the monitoring site and directed him to complete the work of the stranded bridge as soon as possible. After the contractor Sah promised to complete the work by June under any circumstances, Minister Ghising warned that if he could not do the work, he would terminate the contract.

The contractor Sah stated that about 75 percent of the work on the bridge has been completed and promised to complete the remaining work within the coming May. To build the bridge, Pappu Shivshankar JV signed a contract for 25 crore 36 lakh 24 thousand on 31st June 2074. The residents of Gaidatar are suffering because the bridge is not completed.

Minister Ghisingh also inspected the Badharwa Bridge which is going to be built on the Bagmati River to connect Rautahat and Sarlahi under the Hulaki Highway. Durga Bhagwati Rural Municipality-5 Badharwa Bridge under construction on Bagmati river has been lying idle for 15 years.
