5 point demand including recalling the government to the President

Kathmandu. 23 Genji groups organized under different names have submitted a joint memorandum to President Ramchandra Poudel on Thursday. In the memorandum, it is mentioned that even though the government was formed on the foundation of Genji movement, it is not acceptable to focus only on elections. They have accused the government of being directionless and ignoring the basic sentiments of the movement. This uprising was not only for early elections. The demands of Genji, injured and martyred families who participated in the movement should be addressed immediately, the memorandum said.

If the demand is not met, they have also demanded that the President should initiate the formation of a new government under the leadership of the Genji group by recalling the government. The memorandum also mentions the warning of resuming the peaceful protest and pressure program if the demand is not met. 23 groups including Genji National Front Liner, Genji Spark, N Tech Genji, Creditors Association Nepal, Genji Y United, Real Genji were among the organizations that submitted the memorandum.

It has also been demanded to prosecute those involved in major corruption cases in the country, to take legal action against those responsible for the 'genocide' in the Genji movement, to ensure the treatment of the injured and to provide compensation and long-term sustenance for the families of the martyrs.
