Decision of Nepali Congress to participate in both elections

Kathmandu. The central working committee meeting of Nepali Congress ended without any decision regarding the convention. The meeting held at Sanepa on Saturday discussed the convention but could not come to a conclusion. The meeting decided to participate in the House of Representatives elections scheduled for February 21. Nepali Congress has decided to participate in the election. The Congress central working committee meeting held today in Sanepa has decided that the party will participate in the National Assembly elections to be held on January 11 and the House of Representatives elections to be held on February 21.

General Minister Gagan Kumar Thapa read out the decisions of the meeting. The Congress has called the dissolution of the House of Representatives unconstitutional. But the Congress Central Committee has decided to participate in the general elections saying that this matter will be decided by the Supreme Court.
