The Prime Minister's Secretariat said that unnecessary controversy had arisen over the appointments
Kathmandu. Prime Minister Sushila Karki's Secretariat has claimed that Chief Private Secretary Adarsh Kumar Shrestha was unnecessarily pressed for the appointment. After all-round criticism, Prime Minister Karki's press coordinator Ram Bahadur Rawal issued a statement on Monday morning and said that the Chief Private Secretary was unnecessarily linked. Rawal claims that he was forcibly promoted as a relative on the basis of surname and ethnic background.
It is written in the statement, "As they have to closely cooperate with the Prime Minister at his residence and work together 24 hours a day, even for security reasons, it is requested not to raise questions about the legal appointment of a person who is trustworthy, reliable and can work day and night."
"Furthermore, the Chief Personal Secretary has been slanderously linked to other appointments and has been forcibly promoted as a relative on the basis of family name and ethnic background, so it is requested not to do so," the statement said.
It is stated in the statement that Karki, who was appointed as the prime minister on the strength of the Genji movement, has been responsible and sensitive in terms of frugality, transparency and accountability and has been conducting and behaving accordingly. The Prime Minister's Secretariat has informed that the Prime Minister's Secretariat is being operated with very few manpower so that the burden on the state fund is minimal and it can work efficiently.
