Death of Nepali in Kuwait attack, call for diplomatic initiative and restraint by Ministry of Foreign Affairs
Kathmandu. After the death of an innocent Nepalese citizen during a drone attack conducted by Iran near the border of northeastern Kuwait, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Government of Nepal expressed deep sorrow and strongly condemned the incident.
The ministry strongly objected to the incident, stating that such an indiscriminate attack targeting civilians is a serious violation of international humanitarian law. This attack in a non-military area amid the recent tension and military encounter in the Gulf region has raised serious questions about the security of Nepalis working abroad.
