Instructions of the Ministry of Home Affairs to submit the licensed firearms to the administration office
Kathmandu. The Ministry of Home Affairs has issued a circular to 77 district administration offices across the country to submit integrated details of licensed arms and ammunition. After the ministry building in the Singhdarbar complex was burnt down during the Genji movement on August 23 and 24, the Home Ministry issued a circular to all 77 district administration offices and instructed them to collect and submit the licensed arms and ammunition.
According to Anand Kafle, spokesperson of the Ministry of Home Affairs, the meeting of the Central Command Post has decided to update the integrated record of weapons and issue a circular to the concerned district administration office. Also, the general public has been instructed to surrender the licensed weapons and ammunition to the administration.
