Vishwakarma Puja and Vastu Diwas are being celebrated today.
Kathmandu. Today, on the day of Ashwin Sankranti, Kaligarh and workers are celebrating Vishwakarma Parva and Vastu Diwas by ritually worshiping Lord Vishwakarma. On this occasion, various factories, industries and workshops across the country are specially decorated by the workers to celebrate this day with grandeur.
Today, Kaligarhs worship the tools, instruments and vehicles that they use. There is a religious belief that by doing this the tools will last longer, will not break down during work and will do a better job. After worship, it is a tradition to take the statue of Vishwakarma made of sand or other material to the source of Vagmati, Sundari Jal or other holy rivers.
According to religious belief, in the Dwapara Yuga, when Lord Krishna was tormented by demons, Vishwakarma built 'Bhed Dwaraka' in the middle of the sea and hid it in one night.
