Meteorological Department's request to farmers not to harvest paddy

Kathmandu. The Department of Water and Meteorology has asked the farmers not to harvest paddy. The Department of Water and Meteorology has asked the general public to take special precautions as the risk of floods and landslides has increased due to continuous rains in various parts of the country.

Department meteorologist Rojan Lamichhane advised the farmers not to harvest rice until the weather improves and the residents of the river coastal areas should be on high alert. Talking to News Agency Nepal, meteorologist Lamichhane asked the farmers to make a plan to harvest paddy only after the weather clears, as rushing in the current adverse weather can cause damage to crops and people.
