Trump claims to have arrested Venezuelan President Maduro and his wife
Kathmandu. US President Donald Trump has claimed that the United States has arrested Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro and his wife. According to international media, Trump claimed that they were taken out of the country after the "large-scale" attack in Venezuela.
Earlier, the government of Venezuela accused the US of attacking civilian and military installations in various states of the country and rejected the "military aggression" of Washington. Following the series of attacks, President Maduro's government has declared a national emergency across the country. After the events, serious tension has arisen in US-Venezuela relations.
The United States launched air strikes on military bases in the capital of Venezuela, Caracas, Miranda, Aragua and La Guerra states at midnight on Saturday.
