On June 24th, due to the devastating flood in China's Lhende river, the Mitteri bridge at the Kerung crossing was swept away, and the transportation of goods between Nepal and China has been completely blocked for four months. After the flood caused damage to a large number of trucks and containers along with people's property, the Federation of Nepal Truck Transport Businessmen has sent a letter to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Wednesday, asking them to take immediate action.
According to the General Secretary of the Federation, Rajendra Vikram Bania, the flood that occurred on 24th June 2082 caused extensive damage to the areas around the Kerung Pass and due to this, hundreds of truck containers towards Nepal were swept away.

Many of those containers are loaded with goods brought by Nepalese businessmen from China and the businessmen are in a big financial crisis due to the disruption of the transportation, the federation said. The federation has asked the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to coordinate with the Chinese government to facilitate the process of bringing the containers stopped at the Kerung crossing to Nepal quickly. General Secretary Bania said, "There was also a meeting with the Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Wednesday regarding this issue.
