Kathmandu. Today is World Meteorological Day. Today, this day will be celebrated all over the world with awareness activities to protect the society from climate related problems.

This day was started to be celebrated in 1950 to commemorate the implementation of the convention establishing the World Meteorological Organization. In the beginning, awareness programs were held focusing on water and water-related disaster control.
